Job Description


 Job Title: Medical Assistant – Front & Back Office
Location: Hanford, CA
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:00am – 5:15pm& Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm  (Contract Assignment)
Pay Range: $20.00

Overview:
We’re seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support a busy Family practice in Hanford. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent patient care, and prior experience working in a family practice. The right candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced specialty office.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients, verify demographic and insurance information, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
  • Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries, and communicate messages to providers.
  • Check patients in and out and collect copayments and other payments.
  • Obtain and document patient medical histories, vital signs, and medication information.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with routine procedures.
  • Perform clinical tasks such as injections, specimen collection, EKGs, and point-of-care testing as assigned.
  • Clean and sanitize clinical areas and follow infection-control and safety procedures.
  • Process incoming and outgoing medical records, forms, and other documentation.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and office policies.
  • Support providers and office staff with daily administrative and clinical responsibilities.
  • Maintain a professional, organized, and patient-focused environment.

Requirements:
  • Must have 2+ years of MA experience
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred
  • Current MA certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
  • Current CPR/BLS
  • Strong EMR and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in a high-volume setting
  • Must be available to start as soon as possible
