Job Description
Hire Up Staffing is seeking a Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) in Houston, TX to provide compassionate, developmentally appropriate support to pediatric patients and their families throughout their healthcare experience.
Pay Rate:$27+/hour DOE (Depending on Experience) Schedule:Monday–Friday | Hours range between 6:30 AM–6:00 PM. Shifts will vary by coverage area.

What You’ll Do
Assess pediatric patients within 24 hours of admission or consultation.
Develop and implement individualized psychosocial care plans based on each patient's medical needs and developmental level.
Provide emotional and physical support to pediatric patients and their families.
Use therapeutic play, preparation, education, and self-expression activities to help children cope with medical care.
Help reduce stress and anxiety associated with the healthcare environment.
Create a safe, supportive, and healing environment for children and families.
Educate patients and families about medical procedures and what to expect.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals and other members of the care team.
Participate in child life programs, activities, and special events.
Support patients at various developmental stages and adapt interventions accordingly.
Maintain compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Child Life, Child Development, or a related field.
Previous experience as a Child Life Specialist or in a related pediatric role.
Current Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) certification required.
Certification must be through the Child Life Certifying Committee (CLCC).
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively with pediatric patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to working with children in a healthcare setting.
