<strong><u>Requirements:</u></strong>

&#9;<li>3-5 years of experience answering multiple phone lines (Medical office experience). Busy setting. 200 calls a day.&nbsp;
&#9;<li>Strong Knowledge of Epic & NexGen.(must have worked in it in the last 15 months)
&#9;<li>Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
&#9;<li>Understanding of insurances including HMOs, PPOs and Medicare
&#9;<li>Knowledge of copays, deductibles and out-of-pocket expenses
&#9;<li>Bilingual (English/Spanish) 
&#9;<li>Needs a friendly voice & needs to be able to effectively deescalate upset patients on the phone.

<strong><u>Job Summary:</u></strong><br>
<br>
The Procedure Scheduler coordinates and schedules medical procedures, tests, and surgeries to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient patient care. This role serves as a key liaison between patients, providers, clinical teams, and insurance companies while ensuring all required documentation, authorizations, and pre-procedure requirements are completed.<br>
<br>
<strong><u>Schedule:</u></strong>
<ul>
&#9;<li>Monday - Friday
&#9;<li>8:00am â 5:00pm. 
</ul>
<br>
<strong><u>Pay:</u></strong>

<ul>
&#9;<li>$18.00 - $21.00
</ul>
<br>
<strong><u>Essential Job Functions:</u></strong>

<ul>
&#9;<li>Schedule medical procedures, diagnostic tests, and surgeries according to provider orders
&#9;<li>Coordinate procedure dates, times, and locations with patients, providers, and clinical staff
&#9;<li>Verify insurance coverage, benefit, and obtain prior authorizations when required
&#9;<li>Ensure all pre-procedure requirements are completed (labs, imaging, clearances, consents)
&#9;<li>Provide patients with clear instructions regarding preparation, arrival times, and post-procedure expectations
&#9;<li>Communicate with operating rooms, imaging departments, and specialty clinics to ensure availability
&#9;<li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date scheduling information in electronic health record (EHR) systems
&#9;<li>Reschedule or cancel procedures as needed and communicate changes promptly
&#9;<li>Address patient questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy
&#9;<li>Maintain compliance with HIPAA, regulatory, and organizational policies
</ul>

<strong><u>Requirements:</u></strong>

<ul>
&#9;<li>High school diploma or equivalent
&#9;<li>NextGen and Epic experience required
&#9;<li>Insurance expertise required
&#9;<li>Procedure/Surgery authorization experience a plus
&#9;<li>Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
&#9;<li>Fast-paced environment
&#9;<li>Proficiency with EHR and scheduling systems
&#9;<li>Strong organizational and communication skills
&#9;<li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
