Job Description


Job Summary:

Pay $18-$23

· Accounts Receivable Representative (Medical Billing) for coordinating all aspects of insurance and patient billing within the revenue cycle.

· Experience with insurance and patient accounts receivable collections. In office position.

 

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Minimum 2 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable, preferably in outpatient multi-specialty surgery.

· Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care and Worker’s Compensation Carriers.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent interpersonal and customer service services.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to details.

· Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.

· Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

· Ability to prioritize tasks.

· Ability to adapt with fast moving pace.

· Understanding of EOB’s.

· Proficiency in Microsoft functions or related software.

· Proficiency in EMR.

· Proficiency with basic office equipment; fax, phone, scanner, etc.

 

Essential Functions:

· Reviewing Aging Reports

· Claim Status verifications

· Following up on claim denials

· Filing disputes / appeals

· Processing of correspondence

· Processing Patient Statements

· Assisting Patient’s with billing queries
