Hire Up Staffing is hiring for an Appointment Coordinator for our client located in Clovis, CA.
Pay: $21.00+ DOE Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm
As a Medical Appointment Coordinator, your role is crucial in ensuring that patients receive timely and appropriate care. Here's a breakdown of some of your key responsibilities:
Scheduling Appointments: You're responsible for scheduling appointments for patients with healthcare providers, specialists, and diagnostic services. This involves coordinating with both patients and healthcare professionals to find suitable time slots. Must have Triage experience.
Managing Patient Records: You maintain accurate patient records, including contact information, medical history, insurance details, and appointment schedules. Keeping these records organized and up-to-date is essential for efficient coordination.
Confirming Appointments: You confirm appointments with patients via phone, email, or text message. This helps reduce no-shows and ensures that the schedule runs smoothly.
Handling Patient Inquiries: Patients may have questions about appointments, procedures, or paperwork. You provide information and assistance to address their inquiries promptly and professionally.
Coordinating with Healthcare Providers: You liaise with healthcare providers to coordinate appointment schedules, communicate patient needs, and ensure that any necessary resources or equipment are available.
Managing Waitlists: If appointment slots are full, you manage waitlists and prioritize patients based on urgency and availability.
Billing and Insurance: You may assist with billing processes, verifying insurance coverage, and coordinating payment arrangements with patients.
Maintaining Confidentiality: Patient privacy is paramount in healthcare. You adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and ensure that patient information is handled securely and in compliance with regulations such as HIPAA.
Adapting to Changes: Healthcare schedules can be unpredictable. You're prepared to handle cancellations, rescheduling requests, and other unexpected changes efficiently to minimize disruptions.
Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service is essential. Patients should feel valued and supported throughout the appointment coordination process, even if they encounter challenges or delays.
